Aug. 20th, 2007

02:34 pm - Events for 08/20-08/26

Aug. 15th, 2007

03:05 pm - Imago Dei presents Everyman

<Religious Event>

I attended this groups performance of Godspell last year and it was quite good.

Third and Final Show of the Imago Dei Performing Arts Season
Everyman
The Classic Morality Play

August 16-18, 2007
Location: Knox Presbyterian Church
9595 W. 95th Street, Overland Park KS

August 23-25, 2007
Location: Grace United Methodist Church
11485 Ridgeview Road, Olathe KS

7:00 pm each evening, and at 2:00 pm on Saturday

Everyman is the most celebrated of all the old English morality plays. It was based on an earlier Dutch play of the same title. The earliest English version dates from about 1520.

Called by Death, Everyman can persuade none of his friends - Beauty, Kindred, Worldly Goods - to go with him, except Good Deeds.

Go to http://www.churcharts.org/ to purchase tickets. Ticket prices seem a little high to me, if that's any sort of a problem go anyway and ask for a scholarship, no one will be refused admittance.

11:32 am - Events for 08/14-08/19

I'm Mr Mom again this week and recovering from a minor car accident. I'm sort of OK but my car is totaled.

*I'm going to these.

Aug. 6th, 2007

10:57 am - Events for 08/06-08/11

Here's what has my interest this week:

*I grew up in Sioux City and Tommy Bolin was our local rock and roll hero. You may not have heard of him but might recognize some of the bands he played for; Denney & the Triumphs, Zephyr, Billy Cobham, the James Gang, or maybe just Deep Purple. And like so many rockers in the 70s, Tommy died of an overdose at age 25.

Jul. 31st, 2007

02:24 pm - Events for 07/31-08/05

Another busy week:

I'm probably going to The Fray since I still have my ticket from the original show back in May and Colin Hay since I can take my kids with me for free.

07:00 pm - so hi.

apparently i've been a member here but just had failed to add this to my friends list... so though i've been listed as a member for a while, i thought i'd fill out that survey that's in the userinfo here.

sometimes, i'm just that blissfully unaware.Collapse )

please forgive the rambling, that's just how i tend to be when answering survey-type things.
